Returning to EDS is Bethany Henry as the 2k Lead Teacher. She has been working with children and education for over 15 years, including childcare, pre school, substitute teaching, children's church and most recently teaching mental health education and suicide prevention as a program coordinator for The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). Bethany has a paraprofessional certificate and is working towards a degree in Early Care and Education. She is a member of the Pickens County SMVF Suicide Prevention Team and the outreach coordinator for the local NAMI affiliate, she is also a recipient of a 2022 Jefferson Award for Public Service. Bethany grew up attending schools both in the US and in England, she has called the upstate home since 1996. She and her husband, Doug, live in Clemson with the youngest of their seven children and four dogs. She is excited to be back at EDS where she can do what she loves to do most, work with children and families.
